Evil and the Justice of God

“Why does God allow evil?”

It’s a good question, and honestly there is no adequate answer.

In all reality, the Bible has less to say on what God SAYS about evil - it’s cause - and more to say on what God is DOING about evil - its final resolution.

To this end, it’s important to understand that the Bible was not written primarily to satisfy the inquiring mind on philosophical theories with regard to evil’s origin, but rather to paint for us in a very real way, and in very vivid terms, the picture of what God has done, what God is doing, and what God will do about the problem of evil.

The Scriptures highlight a God who intervenes, a God who heals, a God who stands in the gap by stepping into the human experience - into human suffering - and relieves oppression, and reverses the cycle of injustice, and pushes back the cosmic powers of evil and darkness.

It speaks of a God who does not sit passively on the sidelines, apathetic and indifferent as his creation actively suffers as Deism would like to suggest, but instead the Bible reveals a God of ACTION, one who provides the final resolution to evil and his name is JESUS - and his name means simply “the Lord SAVES.”

And while most of my questions will remain, I trust that God in Jesus IS in the process of flipping an upside-down world right-side back up again, and He calls you and I to JOIN Him as a partner to that end!

Won’t you be his healing hands and feet on earth? Partner with heaven and reverse the cycle of injustice in our world today!
