One glance at the world today and it becomes evident that there is no shortage of evil, suffering and injustice. Just as things appear to be looking up, we uncover yet another example of how things are not as they should be, and how our world is far from the ideal we all long for. God’s purpose for every person is to reverse the cycle of injustice by creating positive changes in their communities. Yet impacting our world effectively only comes as we discover our purpose and identity individually.
God created each person with a unique potential to make a profound impact on their world, and to leave lasting change that will influence generations to come.
Each day is filled with meaning when you know who you are, why you’re here and where you’re going. I help people discover who God created them to be so that they can activate their faith and bring positive and lasting change to their world.

Originally from the Great White North (“Oh Canada”), I’ve taken a liking for many of the trappings of your everyday American citizen, finding solace in the wonderful city of Portland, OR. To me, Portland is a wildly awesome metropolis in the Pacific Northwest which has a ton of character and charm - as long as you don’t mind really good coffee and breathtaking outdoor beauty. I know…hard life.
I pastor a new church in the city called Bloom, where we empower others to walk in their God-given calling and practice the way of Jesus together! That’s how we think church ought’ to be. Encouraging. Uplifting. Fun.
In my free time you can probably catch me ballin’ at 24 hour fitness or exploring Powell’s Books (a Portland icon) for the newest addition to my personal library. Did I mention I LOVE to read?
Along my journey I’ve picked up a few degrees too, earning a Master of Arts in New Testament Studies and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology & Biblical Languages from Andrews University. I am currently developing PhD proposals on congenital disability within the corpus of Johannine literature in the New Testament. Huge nerd.
My life’s passion centers around being with Jesus, learning new things about Jesus and sharing Jesus with others. I hope I inspire you to do the same!
